I would love to share a new practice that I'm doing this year that I'm really enjoying.

I'm keeping a record of this. I'm going to hold on to what it is that I'm doing today, hopefully

forever, because there is such joy and pleasure and documenting in this. What are you talking about?

I hear you cry. I'm going to tell you right now. At the end of the day,

every single day, I ask my husband, what was the best thing that happened today? What was the

best thing that happened today? And the answers wildly vary. Of course, based on your day, based on where you are, based on what

you're up to, maybe you're skiing right now, maybe you're in big hustle season, maybe you're

taking care of somebody in your life, maybe you're taking care of an aging parent.

And today was a good day.

Someone in my community shared that, she's helping her dad who has dementia. And he said today,

he had a really good day. And so that was the best thing in her life that day. So I ask him first,

because I also want him to reflect and feel good and remain conscious. And then also I jot mine

down. When I was in Japan, I got this, I'm just reaching out for it now.

When I was in Japan, I got this gorgeous orange notebook, which is kind of like my journal

to write down everything of my get-to-do list each day that I updates. And at the very back,

I do two things. I write down the best thing that happened to me that day, starting on January 1st.
