Myrtle Beach Week continues, although today's 10-minute walk is actually happening about 20 minutes south of Myrtle Beach outside the city limits of Myrtle.

Today's walk is going to be on marsh walk, which I know doesn't sound very exciting, maybe even a little odd, but this is an incredibly popular tourist attraction in Merle's Inlet.

This is a podcast that provides a little added motivation for you to get out and take the walk every day.

And we'll get started with today's walk after this.

Today's walk is starting in the parking lot across the street from Dead Dog Saloon. I'll circle back to that in just a moment. We are in Merle's Inlet today.

As I mentioned a moment ago, it's about 20 minutes south of Myrtle Beach, so outside the city limits of Myrtle, not even in the same county.

I think this is Georgetown County.

And Merle's inlet is built on a salt marsh.

And it's a boardwalk. I don't know how long the boardwalk is but it runs

alongside the salt marsh and then there are just a string of restaurants

mostly restaurants probably a couple of gift shops as well but mostly

restaurants I don't know if the most popular is the Dead Dog Saloon,

but it's certainly up there in the top two or three.

Inside Dead Dog Saloon, on the walls are pictures of dogs.

When someone's dog has passed on, are pictures of dogs.

When someone's dog has passed on, they bring a picture of the dog, and dead dog saloon will hang it on the walls,

although I think it's, the walls are totally full,

because we've got some friends who recently moved down here and they have a dog who died

and they brought a picture and they were told our walls are full.
