Hello, girlfriend. How are you? Welcome to the show. Always glad to be able to connect with you here. So glad you showed up for another episode of The Girlfriend's Podcast. So this week, my special guest is author Christine Wojhar, who wrote a whole book about Blessed Pier at Giorgio Fassadi,

who truly is a saint for our times. It's really a fascinating story, and I can't wait to share that conversation with you. But by way of introduction, I wanted to ask you, have you ever had

a saint kind of find you, that kind of experience where perhaps the saint just keeps popping up

in different ways in your life. And you feel like maybe you're being called into a friendship

with that particular saint. I think that the communion of saints is such a beautiful gift in our

church, the fact that we have all these wonderful and inspiring

stories from real people who have lived out God's will in these incredible ways in their lives

and in sometimes extremely ordinary ways and ways that are very accessible to us and that

the saints come from all walks of life, all different

kinds of circumstances from all over the globe, you know, a couple of weeks ago when we shared

that interview with Meg Hunter Kilmer with her book, Saints Around the World, what a beautiful

gift that book is in that it shows all the stories of different kinds of saints from all walks of life

and all different kinds of experiences. And I really think that's one of the beautiful gifts

in our church is that we can pray to the saints and ask them to pray for us. We can ask for

their intercession. We can grow in friendship with people who lived thousands of years ago.
