Welcome. This is Lauren. In this piece tonight, I'm going to ramble somewhat. I'm going to

read a story to you. It is the story of Rapunzel. Now, a little bit of a disclaimer here.

I haven't read it to myself yet.

So you and I are going to be reading it for the first time together.

Now I do know the story of Rapunzel, but that is different from reading it.

I was having a talk with my daughter last night

and my daughter was struggling to sleep

and I was giving her different suggestions

of content she can listen to

which is effectively boring or lacking in stimulus.

One of the ways we can aid our sleep is to focus on listening to something, which is repetitious. It has a cadence, a rhythm. So I thought

tonight you and I can crawl into bed, get all cozy and listen to Rapunzel.

As I read this story, outside in South Australia, it's phrasing.

I mean it's phrasing.

My hands are white.

I have a blanket around my shoulders.

I'm seated on my mother's chair, you know my mother has passed, so I like to be near

things that remind me of her.
