One of the most hotly debated topics right now is the nation of Israel.

And I fear that if we're not careful, we allow political agendas or current events to color our understanding of what God says in Holy Scripture.

It should be the exact opposite. We must always begin with the Bible.

Hello, friends. This is Scott Pauli. Thank you for enjoying the journey with us today as we walk

through Scripture. We're addressing

current questions right now and Bible answers, and we've received some questions related to the

subject of Israel and should we support Israel. Let me just say right up front that there is a difference

between saying that you love Israel, you pray for the peace of Jerusalem, you believe that God

is not finished with the Jewish people, and stating that you support every decision that a government

ever makes. Can I remind you that Ahab and Jezebel were in Israel? That throughout history there have been

many times that Israel did not do exactly

what God wanted it to do, but that does not discount God's eternal purpose for his people.

And while there are many scriptures that I could take you to, I want to take you to what I believe

is the defining passage in Romans chapter 11. And this is significant

because this is after the time of Christ. This is in the first century church. This is written under

inspiration of the Holy Spirit by the very one who is called the apostle of the Gentiles. And many of you who

are listening to me right now are Gentiles.

If you're not a Jewish person, you're a Gentile.

I want to just tell you, there's no prejudice in the gospel.

It is to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

And I thank God that the gospel has come to all people and whosoever will may come to Christ.

But Romans chapter number 11, written by the apostle to the Gentiles,
