I feel like every year we end up coming to this situation in Serbia where protests break out.

We've covered it quite a lot.

And then they kind of, after a week, Max, it usually dies out. This time, though, we've said it before, but this time things are actually genuinely

looking a lot more serious. Before we go into what's actually happening on the ground, why

these protests are getting a little bit violent and becoming bigger across the whole

country as opposed to just the capital. Just tell us how these protests started the recent rounds.

Why? Why did people come out onto the streets this time? What triggered it?

So this time it all started on Vidovdan, which was on the 28th. And that's a very big Serbian holiday.

And the students gave a deadline for the government to meet their demands of doing snap elections,

of all the people responsible for the train station collapse that started the first round of the protests. They wanted them to be responsible for and be prosecuted and everything.
