A new indictment against former President Trump.

I'm Lee Silasera, Fox News, but the charges remain the same in an election

interference case.

A superseding indictment from Special Counsel Jack Smith does not drop any charges connected

to an alleged scheme to overturn the 2020 election results, but it does narrow some of the criminal

complaint. It follows a Supreme Court opinion on presidential

immunity giving deference to actions considered official conduct. The new

indictment removes allegations former President Trump pressured Justice Department officials

but keeps in place an allegation the former President attempted to

pressure his Vice President Mike Pence to refuse certifying the electoral count.

Still a trial in the case is likely months or even years away.

The former president, meanwhile, posting on his truth social account

that he's reached an agreement with Vice President Harris on

next month's ABC debate.

The debate will be stand up.

There will be no notes and he says ABC has assured him that the debate will be fair and equitable.
