I am thrilled today to be sitting down with my friend codenamed Lester.

I'll give you a little bit of backstory on this.

So Lester and I actually met at a Bitcoin dinner in Los Angeles.

This was 2018, 19.

I think so.

Yeah.

So we were, I think we had connected through Nick Batia's work.

Yeah, and we randomly sat next to each other.

Yep, yep.

And then we kind of connected some dots, realized we knew each other on Twitter,

had a very interesting conversation that night,

going deep into the annals of monetary history,

and where we thought the world economy was headed.

And long story short, you and I kept in touch.

We traded notes on a lot of these topics for several months thereafter.

And then finally, you recommended, and I'll let you tell the story about how you discovered this book,

but you recommended this book to me, written by Meltjior Polly, titled The Twilight of Gold.

And I think this book is one of the most excellent texts I've read on the intricacies, importance, and ultimate downfall of the gold
