Today for our practice, we normally do an active practice, a meditation or a gratitude practice.

And since this week is dedicated to love, of course, I want to give us a little bit of space to just settle in and feel the feeling

of love inside of our bodies. And the feeling of love and the feeling of gratitude are very

connected. So oftentimes when we're really focused on the love that's present in our lives or we're focused on envisioning

the person that we are really in love with right now or a being in our life that just has that

very, very special place inside of our hearts. Gratitude is the natural response to the experience of love.

And so what I wanted to focus on specifically today is a love that you have in your life

right now that is unexpected, a love present in your life that is unexpected.

So there are certain kinds of love that we come to expect, that we sort of not take for granted, perhaps, but that we feel as a steady presence in our life all the time.

So I'm talking about the love that we feel for our family, the love we feel for our partner,

the love we feel for our children, definitely is one of those loves that's just ever present

in our systems all the time. And what I want to focus on now is a love that has entered your

life, maybe recently, that feels a little bit out of left field. Like it was a love that you didn't expect,

that you didn't know was coming. And this can be a love. Doesn't have to be a love for a person,

doesn't have to be a family member or a person in your life. I'm talking about the love you feel

for nature. Or maybe the love you feel for God,
