I have an exciting update to tell you guys and I'm very excited to discuss. But first, I got so many

interesting emails responding to the Bachelorette episode and I want to read some of them.

for really going there with me. I think this community is so unique because you're also engaged

and you all are such thoughtful people. So thanks to everybody who wrote, I'm going to read out

a few of these and just, yeah, they were great. from clara long time listener and first time writer

i'm also a virgo i was listening to your show today on bachelor at parties while getting ready

to go to a funeral i thought twice about taking the day off i did not want to shower drive two hours

cry watch my friend cry and just turn around and drive two hours again to go home just as i was

thinking who wants to go to a funeral you said it's always important to show up when it really matters. It's not always what we want to do. Today I was showing up for my friend who was there for me in the worst time of my life. I don't get to see them a lot, but I always value them. Thank you for coming, they said, and I know it meant something even if we saw each other for an hour. Your show is a great

compass on how to be a friend. Parties are wonderful, but they are not the benchmark. At the funeral

itself, the rabbi said that coming to a funeral service is an act of altruism. We do it without

expectation of reciprocity. We just do it. Love your show. Oh, that's really nice. Yeah, I mean,

again, it's like you said, your friend was there for you in really hard times and then you supported them. And I just think that showing up for people when you really need them is what matters.

Okay, from Lisa. Hey, hi, Tinks. I'm writing after listening to today's

pod episode. This could not have come in a better time as I'm flying to LA tonight to attend my

high school best friend's bridal shower. She's also getting married in Porta Viata and March,

and we are spending thousands of dollars. My partner and I aren't travelers, so this was a huge decision for us.

We're not at a point in life where we would spend that money on a vacation for ourselves,

so it's very hard to decide to spend money on my friend. That decision has nothing to do with her

or our friendship. It's purely financial pragmatic. Anyways, we are going and we're excited,
