Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through scripture

with Pastor John Corson. It is our desire to bring you a systematic

study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

On our last searchlight program we began a very important teaching called a lesson on lust. John shared with us a scripture from the book of James that tells us that lust leads to sin which results in death.

That is why this subject is so important.

People are following their lusts, and the result is death in relationships, death in our hearts, and death in our emotions.

Our teaching is based on a story and... and death in our emotions.

Our teaching is based on a story in 2 Samuel Chapter 13,

where Amnon rapes his half-sister, Tamar.

As we continue the story today, we will begin to see the repercussions of that lust.

Here now is, Pastor John.

But God is speaking a word to you, to us, to me, today.

Saying, don't do this folly.

It's foolishness.

I don't care what they're doing on TV.
