Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through scripture

with Pastor John Corson. It is our desire to bring you a systematic

study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

On our program today, John is beginning a very important teaching called a lesson on lust. This teaching is important because the result of yielding to lust is death,

and many of us have been experiencing death in some ways because of our lust.

Let's now join Pastor John as he begins this teaching,

and we see the lesson that God wants to share with us.

Second Samuel chapter 13.

I heard a knock, knock, knock, on the door of my study at home.

I opened it up and it was Christie who was then right around age four. Her

eyes were as big as saucers. Her cheeks were really red. She was very excited when she

said, daddy grabbed the shaker, come quickly, come quickly, come quickly. There's a great big slug on the deck. And so I did just that. I grabbed

the shaker from the kitchen and followed my daughter Christy out to the back of the deck and sure enough just as she said

There was a great big huge slug making its way

Slithering along towards a pot of freshly planted patunias.
