In my opinion, summer is the most challenging season to style, fashion-wise. And I know what you're

thinking. Emma, no, winter is the most challenging season to style. I disagree, okay? At least with winter,

you can layer things. Yes, it is challenging to look chic during the winter because you're layering

four or five different

pieces of clothing, you're kind of hidden behind a puffer jacket and a bala clava and a scarf

and gloves. But at least you can layer. Okay, during the summer, I go into my closet to get dressed

and I'm like, I don't want to wear anything. I want to be nude. And that's a

problem because in order to style yourself in a way that feels interesting and fashionable,

a lot of times you need to put a lot of pieces on your body. You know, a plain t-shirt and little

shorts and little flip-flops.

That's cute.

But that's not necessarily super fashionable, super interesting a lot of the times, right?

It's basic.

And that's great, but it's not fashionable, right?

An outfit becomes fashionable when it has dimension, when it has intrigue, when it has a sense of personality. And that's really hard to do during the summer because we don't want to wear

clothes because it's so hot, right? And that's why I think summer is the most challenging season

to style. Can you look cute during the summer? Absolutely. In fact, I mean,

I think summer has some of the best, most inviting color palettes and materials. Like, summer has all

the potential to be the chicest season. But due to the hot temperatures and all of our desires to be comfortable,

it's really hard to execute on that, at least in my experience. And that's why today,
