A nine-month-old baby was murdered on the night of April 9, 1987.

That baby boy is my baby brother Jacob.

You heard a little bit about the story last episode with Charlie.

Today I'm bringing a very special guest, somebody who is

directly impacted by this case, somebody who I would not be able to be doing what I'm doing

So this is a different episode today.

We're going to be talking a little bit about what's happened with Jacob's case. We're going to be

talking about kind of where we are as people, as family advocates fighting for justice. So in

the last episode, listener, you heard about what happened with Jacob's case with the Attorney General's office.

And so my mom and I were taken into their office, not taking in, but invited into their office on January 11th of this year.

And we were informed that they felt they didn't have enough evidence to prosecute Jacob's killer.

So, Mom, what was going through your mind after we left that meeting?

I just kind of felt deflated.

It really hurt, like let down again after 37 years and just, I just crushed.

I couldn't even, I can't even put it into words, actually.

Yeah.

I think at first we wanted to believe that they had done a thorough investigation.

That's what they told us they did.

But after I received the records

request, we learned that they really didn't. So I think it's safe to say that we're both very

angry. We both are very, I don't know what the word is, but frustrated isn't even like put it,
