I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Monday night edition of the Boneyard. Man, it's been a busy day. I even thought about punting to tomorrow, but I thought, you know what? I don't want to put off to tomorrow what I need to do today. Plus, you guys didn't get chance to listen during the day, so maybe you can listen to you on Tuesday. So here we are. And so college football

is here, man. It's like, you know, we got teams already starting practice. And so there's a lot of

0:27.9

media opportunities. A lot of people reached out. I think I've done five shows today. So now that

0:33.0

I've done everybody else's show, I'm going to do my own. And so, and let's, speaking of the shows, let's give a tip of the cap to our buddy Brian Heydad,

And I never met the guy. You know, he was one, you know, he was an internet, you know, malcontent. And anyway, so when I went to work for Bulldogs Sports Radio, you know, I say Wark, you know, I started having a show on Bulldoch Sports Radio. And Brian did too, and then Brian eventually went to work for BSR and uh it kind of became

this healing moment you know it's like well if I'm going to work with this guy we need to have a

1:16.5

discussion and we did and uh he was very gracious man and just you know said hey you know there's some

1:22.3

things maybe I did in my 20s or said in the infancy of the internet that I wouldn't say today I'm a grown man with

1:28.6

the family it was it was great and now Brian's one of my best friends you know it's kind of crazy how

1:33.1

life works but really happy for this guy man and um you know when v Sporto went under um that was tough

1:42.6

man because like that was Brian's full-time gig you know know, I'm just doing it as a side hustle, and, you know, and it was Brian's primary gig and, man, it was, it was awful. You know, I was really worried for him and, you know, worried for his family and, and, wish that I could have worked out of way, you know, but let him come work for me or whatever, you know.

2:01.1

But we just couldn't get it together.

2:02.6

But the reality of it was, I was at his house

2:06.0

when Will East called him about the guy

2:10.7

of the job with Super Talk.

2:12.5

And I remember how excited he was,

2:16.2

because he wanted to continue to have a job in media,

2:20.1

wanted to continue to cover Mississippi State, which is a dream of many of us, right?

2:25.4

And I remember how special that day was, and I was really glad that I could be there with
