Welcome to the Barnyard with Steve Robertson, as always. I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Monday evening edition of the yard. I'm a little bit later to normal, which I guess I've been a little bit late here in the summer. Kind of trying to enjoy the last little bit of summer. Had a big rock and roll adventure over the weekend. It was, let me recap the weekend. I told you guys on Saturday, you know, we recorded

the Friday show Saturday. I wanted to wait and talk about commitments and worked up the show

on about four hours sleep. Very, very busy weekend. Got done with all the big camp, big dog camp stuff.

I guess technically it's top dog camp, but it's big dog camp to me because I'm an

old schooler. Got done with that about 8 o'clock and then hit the road to Rogers, Arkansas,

got there about 4 a.m., got about 4 hours sleep, got up, recorded the show, celebrated my

granddaughter's birthday. Really glad to be there.

It's like everybody's like, man, Steve, you can be so late getting there. Yeah, but at least I'm there,

right? Gave me a full day with some family, loved it. We got her a guitar for her present,

and I believe that was her favorite present. I think she's a natural. She

grabbed it, courted it up, started strumming, it made some racket. She was very intrigued

by the noise as I am I, right, even all these years later. And then I went to bed, got up

about seven, hot-tailed it to Memphis, dropped off the youngest kid at his car

there at South Haven, thanks to Roy, my buddy Roy, you know. Met up with the homie Sam Denton

there in Memphis at the Lafayette Music Room. I'd never been there before in Midtown, Memphis.

What a great area. Met a lot of cool people.

Hung out with our friends and faster pussycat.

Chad and those guys just continue to play at a high level. And, you know, Sam and I,

we got out to see them whenever we can. You know, we've kind of gotten to know those guys a little bit.

You know, it's almost like kind of hanging out with some friends. You know, it's like thankfully we get to go to sound check early and things like that. And, you know, it's almost like kind of hanging out with some friends. You know, it's like you, thankfully we get to go to Soundcheck early and things like that

and kind of get to hang late.

So I was up late, got back in the bed wee hours of the morning and then took Roy to lunch.
