Do you ever worry that your life is a little boring?

If so, you are in a lucky position, my friends, because a calm, peaceful life is the goal of so much else that we want.

Money, freedom, all the things that might be on your vision board or in your get-to-do list

or your mind map for your future. Often what we want at the end of it all is calm, is peace,

is a sense of steadiness. And what if you have that right now in your so-called

boring life? This is what I've learned over time. When your life is steady and peaceful,

it's not lacking. Just because there's no drama, just because there isn't daily excitement, doesn't mean

that there's anything wrong. In fact, it means that you're close enough to reality. You are so

connected often to just the present and the day to day that you can experience it and celebrate

it. In fact, I heard an actor talking recently and he said,

my life is so boring. I cook at home. I read books. I'm alone all the time. And it made me

realized this is why he's such a successful Academy Award winning actor. He conserves his

energy. He spends his life in contemplation.

He's not wearing himself out doing things just because, hey, you should be at the parties

and you should be networking with the people and doing all the schmusing.

No, he is himself in his own beloved quiet life.

My life has certainly got more boring over the years, and this is something

that I'm really learning to appreciate. Certainly there's restless moments sometimes where I think

shouldn't something more exciting be happening? But then I remember, I've had plenty of excitement.
