I was reading this round up of life advice from I think it was Ryan Holiday who was a

creator of the Daily Stoic I'm pretty sure it was him and he was giving it was like

30 or 40 or 50 rules, something like that, which I love to swipe along and read. I just feel like you just get so grounded in the truth, you come back to earth, especially if you're away with your worries, away with your daily anxieties.

And he said something in that roundup that I just thought, oh yeah, that's so good.

That is so good.

And by the way, that is also something that I hear about when I

research people or I've interviewed people who've had near-death experiences.

He said this, live as if you've already died and so every single second you have

on planet Earth right now with breath in your lungs and eyes that can see.

Live as if every single second is a bonus time.

Live as if it's bonus time.

How would you be showing up differently today if the life that you have within you, the breath, the blood pumping through your body as if it's just bonus time, bonus time that you've been given.

This would make me feel, if I picture it,

this is bonus time, really loving, right, really generous towards others really

full of vitality really like yeah what's gonna happen today I also feel as if it

would make me live bigger somehow. I would just think gosh this is it like I'm on bonus time like I haven't got

I haven't got time for competition I haven't got time to feel sorry for myself I haven't got time for competition. I haven't got time to think about all the things that could go wrong in the next five years and to think about all of my mistakes and how bad I feel for those mistakes that I've had, you know, being consumed by any guilt.

Bonus time, baby. How would you be feeling?

Think about that, you know?

Sometimes I think when we remember the temporary nature of life because nothing is guaranteed,

not even tomorrow, not even tonight, right?
