As I started sharing on prayer, the first thing we talked about on Monday night was what prayer is not.

And this is the approach that Jesus took when he started teaching on prayer in Matthew

chapter 6. First of all, he started saying, don't be like the hypocrites.

And he started countering this. So that's what I did. And I believe that because in Jesus' day,

the religious system had become so perverted that there was a lot of things called prayer

that wasn't true prayer. And he had to distance himself from this. You know, when you go over to a

foreign country, this is one of the things that you have to do is you have to separate yourself from the religious culture I remember when I was in

India that you know Christianity in India I was up in the northern part of

India where it wasn't real strong but Christianity there was just as pagan and

is ungodly as Hinduism Buddhism Buddhism, or anything else. Matter of fact,

I saw shrines where they had Hari Krishna, Harri Lam, Buddha, and Jesus all in the same thing,

and they worshipped them. In India, they believe in 750 million gods. And if you say, will you

accept Jesus as God sure they will because

they don't want to miss one they worship multiple gods but it's not a true

relationship and so the Christianity over there is really perverted now I've

heard that in the southern part of India it's a lot better there's a lot of

Pentecostal Christianity but where I was that's way it was And so I had to distance myself and basically renounce that, that this isn't true Christianity.
