We love ourselves, and we would be thinking about our loss to such a degree that who cares about anybody else.

And you need to get beyond that and recognize that what Christianity is all about is about loving God and your prayer in my estimate, my opinion.

Opinions are like noses.

Everybody's got one, usually has a couple of holes in it.

But my opinion is that prayer is to love and to worship God,

to seek first the kingdom of God and just fellowship with God.

And if you'd do that, you wouldn't have very much to ask for because everything's

already been provided. There wouldn't be any problems. Nothing would bother you. You wouldn't have to

rebuke fear. You wouldn't have to pray over depression. I'll tell you, Christians battle with

oppression, it seems like more than the unbelievers do, and it's because

you aren't in the presence of God. The Bible says in Psalm 1611, I believe it is, in the presence of the

Lord, there is fullness of joy, and at his right hand are pleasures forevermore. If you're

depressed, you aren't in the presence of God. It's not because

God isn't with you. It's because you aren't with him. It's because you're doing all of these other

things. You get into the presence of the Lord and there will be fullness of joy. I just can't help it.

When my son died and we were driving into Colorado Springs,

I had the same feelings and thoughts that anybody else would,

but I just, it's like you're going a thousand miles an hour.
