The ceasefire is holding. I'm Lisa Lacerra, Fox News. So says President Trump, despite Iran strikes on its Gulf State neighbors.

President Trump is down playing Iranian airstrikes on Kuwait, a barrage that killed at least one civilian and wounded others.

There's a reason for everything, and we hit them pretty hard the night before and

actually the last thing. The president says he considers to ceasefire with Iran to still be in place.

It's a different part of the world. I'd say that part of the world ceasefires when you're shooting

in a more moderate manner. President Trump says he also believes Iran is moving closer to signing a deal to abandon

its nuclear program and agreement he says that could come together by this weekend.

Meanwhile, Israel and Lebanon have agreed to renew their ceasefire and create a number

of security zones inside Lebanon where Hezbollah would be banned. The countries with the

announcement after a fourth round of U.S. mediated talks at the State Department. A man shot and

killed by the FBI this morning after nearly 16-hour hostage standoff in Southern California.

Special agent in charge of the FBI Sacramento Field Office, Sid Patel, identifying Anthony

Scott Searles Harris as the 41-year-old fatally shot after taking 10 people hostage inside a

Bakersfield office building. He was no stranger to law enforcement and has a criminal history

of using weapons to commit violent offenses.

Calling the suspect a registered sex offender who was dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 2007.

The standoff began when officers responded to a call about a bomb threat inside the building that houses bank and school district employees.
