President Trump voicing support for a meeting between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine to end the war.

In an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine's president, Volodomir Zelensky, proposes a meeting between the two, a step President Trump is encouraging.

I think it would be great if they meant they should get it done.

The president has tried to broker a ceasefire meeting separately with Zelensky and Putin

and says he has suggested concessions from both sides.

I've been very strong on the fact that they've got to get that over with.

But they do. I want them each to make certain compromises.

I think they're going to do that.

Zelensky's letter comes as Russia intensifies airstrikes against Kiev and Ukrainian drones have hit deeper into Russian territory.

Under the agreement, Bolton would also face a $2.5 million fine.
