It's off the table. I'm Lisa Lacerra, Fox News. The Trump administration is scrapping plans to create a $1.8 billion fund meant to compensate allies of the president. Atkin, Attorney General Todd Blanche made the announcement during a Capitol Hill hearing.

The reasons for the fund, I think, were, were, we remain as important as

they were before, but we are not moving forward with the fund. This coming one day after the Justice

Department said it would put the fund on hold to comply with the court order, both Democrats

and some Republicans have expressed concern over the lack of oversight, as well as the potential

for payouts to people who took part of the capital riot.

The U.S. military says it fired a missile to stop another oil tanker trying to reach an Iranian port and a violation of the blockade.

As President Trump denies, peace talks with Iran have broken down.

Primaries today in a half dozen states.

In Los Angeles, there are casting ballots

for mayor. In the Los Angeles mayoral race, Democratic incumbent Karen Bass is fighting to keep

her job, pushing back on claims that California's largest city has deteriorated under her watch.

She's locked in a tight race with former reality TV star Spencer Pratt,

who has gained popularity and outraised Bass in a last-minute push, highlighting the hot-button

issues, but offering little detail on exactly how he'd fix them. Progressive Councilwoman

Nithya Rahman running to the left of Bass rounds out the top three.

Fox is Jonathan Hunt in Los Angeles. California also weighing in who should succeed.

Governor Gavin Newsom, who's term-limited, U.S. House race is also on the ballot.

Voters also casting ballots in New Mexico, New Jersey, Iowa, Montana, and South Dakota.

Former New York State Trooper Christopher Baldwin, sentenced to at least two and a half years in prison after he rammed his

vehicle into an SUV during a high-speed chase leading to the death of an 11-year-old girl.
