Summary

Welcome back to MOOD! This week I am joined by the author known as ATTICUS online, and offline the world will never know. Atticus began sharing his poetry online in 2013 and has since built a following of over 1.5 million people and multiple NYT bestsellers. We talk about sharing and connecting vulnerably online without having to reveal his identity and how social media has influenced or rather hasn't his poetry.
As always we discuss my best mood, worst mood, and mood boosters of the week!

Welcome back to mood with Lauren Elizabeth. I'm Lauren Elizabeth and this week for our current

0:06.5

mood combo, I'm going to be joined by Atticus. He is an author that you probably know from

0:13.8

Instagram and all of his New York Times best selling books. He shares his poetry with

0:18.7

his over 1.5 million followers online and like some of his quotes you probably don't even

0:25.3

realize just because they're like that ingrained in your brain like if you love her leaf her wild.

0:30.2

Pretty sure that was him. He began sharing poetry online in 2013 and he tells us all about it,

0:37.7

especially because his work is really kind of revolving around love, relationships, mental

0:43.6

health. He works with tons of different nonprofits like to write love on her arms and support

0:48.2

of mental health services. And we just have like a really good vulnerable honest conversation,

0:53.5

especially because he's anonymous. So I didn't even get to see what he looks like. We only

0:57.2

talked via audio and he's kept his identity anonymous literally since 2013. So I find that

1:03.6

to be very, very interesting and cool, especially since he is so vulnerable online and obviously

1:10.2

his work resonates with so many people for a reason. And on top of it, he doesn't even have

1:14.4

to expose his identity. It's like he gets to have his cake and eat it too. I'm so jealous.

1:18.5

But before we talk to Atticus, let's jump into my best mood and worst mood of the week.

1:24.2

My best mood this week is calm AF. It's so weird you guys like genuinely. I just have

1:33.3

to admit it. I've been so calm. Like even when I get stressed, it's like such a healthy

1:40.2

stress this week that it's like, oh, I gotta do this. It's okay. Like I'm gonna do it.

1:45.6

Like you know what I mean? It's just like, is this what normal people feel like all the

1:48.8

time? Is this something that I can feel like more often? Because it's like very cool?

1:55.9

It's very okay. I've just been like very, very calm. I feel as though like I'm not focusing

2:01.7

on, you know, kind of future tripping and freaking out about what could go wrong and what
