I am recording this the Friday before you're going to hear it.

And wow, it's a rainy and yucky Friday up here in New York State where I am.

But I'm still motivated to talk about luck and love.

What do you think about luck and love?

Do you believe all the stuff that we've learned, that we've seen, and television and films,

and I mean, even the children's stories that we read.

It's all about being at the right place at the right time

and hoping that the prince comes and wakes you up, right?

Someone is on a white horse, right? Someone's coming to

save you if you're a woman. But really are they? And is that what it's about? I feel like it's about a lot more than that.

And listen, I'm a psychotherapist, so obviously I'm going to think it has a lot to do with your psychological health, the models of behavior

that you've seen, the family of origin that you grew up in, and someone in the world taught you what love and connectedness or love and marriage.

Look like how you interact, how a husband or a wife acts, what it means, what romantic love means.

So when people come to me, or they're in my groups and they talk about feeling like they have bad

luck around love, you know, I have women coming all the time saying, you know, when will it be my turn?

What's wrong with me?

Why am I still single and stuck?
