I'd like to welcome everybody today's presentation, the unique needs of children in foster

care.

We're going to explore, guess what, some unique stressors for the child as well as for caregivers in the foster care system.

According to the 2014 AFCRS data, approximately 53% of foster children remain in care for 12 months or more.

That's a long time.

When you've only been alive for two, three, five, eight years, a year is a really

long freaking time.
