Communication is both verbal and nonverbal.

It's important to remember that what you say is as important as important as how you say it.

So, for example, when my kids would leave for school or something and I would say,

love you, and they would grumble under their breath. Love you too. It communicated something

a little bit different. I know they loved me, but it also communicated a little bit of irritability

that they were having to express their emotions. It's also important to recognize that what you understand

is as important as what you hear, maybe even more important, because we can hear words

coming from somebody else, or we can see nonverbal behaviors coming from somebody else, and we can interpret them in however
