September 19th. Both President Joe Biden and Ukraine's President Vladimir

Zelensky will address world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly. The and as usual Russia's war in Ukraine will likely take center stage.

CNN's Jasmine Wright says Biden will be making a case for American leadership on the global stage.

We will see President Biden talking about themes like climate change, talking about ways to support the UN charter,

ways to reform the organization to make it more inclusive, and of course talk a lot in depth about Ukraine and their war against Russia.

And CNN's Fred Plitkin has more from Ukraine where he says Ukrainian troops are making gains on the eastern front.

They've waited years to come home and this morning five wrongfully detained Americans

finally landed back on US soil.

Iran freed the group as part of a deal and the US has also released five Iranians,

while returning six billion dollars of frozen Iranian assets that can only be used for humanitarian purposes.

CNN's Natasha Bertrand explains what awaits the five released Americans in the first few hours

after their arrival.

Now they're going to have medical examinations.
