Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know for Wednesday,

December 11th. President-elect Donald Trump's Washington takeover has begun. His transition

team is gradually shifting from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida to D.C. CNN, Steve Contorno, has more. Yeah, Joe, just until recently, Donald Trump's

entire political operation was running out of Palm Beach and his estate at Mara Lago, and that has been

the case really for the past four years. But now we are starting to see a shift from South Florida

to Washington, D.C. His allies are ushering some of these Senate nominees through their Capitol Hill meetings.

We have seen aides and advisors who have lived near Mara Lago for the past few years, now hunting

for real estate in Washington, D.C. groups that are close to Donald Trump are looking for office space.

His advance team is on the ground in D.C. planning for his inauguration.

And all of this transpires with the attempt to get Donald Trump off and running on day one.

Of course, one person remains in South Florida at his Mar-a-Lago estate, and that is Donald Trump himself.

The leader of rebel forces that ousted Syrian president Bashar al-Assad says foreign governments

shouldn't fear a war with Syria.

Mohamed Al-Jalani told reporters the country is moving towards development and reconstruction,

that the people are exhausted from war, and the country is not ready for another one. But the collapse of the Assad regime

has prompted a punishing response from Israel, which borders Syria. The Israeli military says

it's launched hundreds of strikes in Syria in recent days, along with ground incursions.

Israeli officials have welcomed the downfall of Assad, who was a staunch ally of Iran, but say

they also fear what could come if radical Islamists govern Syria. Israel's Prime Minister,

Benjamin Netanyahu, says he has no intention of interfering in Syria's

internal affairs.
