Convention kicking off in Chicago where Thursday night Vice President

Harris is expected to formally accept the presidential nomination.

California Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters ticked off Harris's accomplishment.

Oh, so I know there is no better leader.

To marshal us into the future, Kamala

has been a courtroom prosecutor, a district attorney,

an attorney general, a United States senator, vice president of the United States.

Delegates also pay tribute to Reverend Jesse Jackson for as they put it, paving the way

for Barack Obama and Vice President Harris to run for President.

Jackson ran for President in 1984 and 1988.

President Biden expected to address delegates later tonight.

Outside the convention, a security fence was breached by protesters, Foxes Mike Tobit and

Union Park.

One of the things we did see was police executing kind of a textbook wedge move.

There was an agitator that they wanted to get out of the crowd.

So they busted through the crowd, plucked that agitator out of the crowd and they pulled

them back behind the police, the line of police riot cops, if you will. But one of the stops of the parade route today was Park 578

and that's where the situation got kind of tense and that's because the demonstrators

were able to get down about three sections of the anti-climbex fencing on the outer perimeter of the security

perimeter.
