Salinsky said his military incursion into Russia's

Kursk region is meant to create a buffer zone. It was the first time Zelensky

had clearly stated the aim of the operation.

Zelensky said in his own words,

it is now our primary task in defensive operations overall

to destroy as much Russian war potential as possible, so far as forces have taken out a bridge and struck

another one potentially disrupting supply lines for Russian forces.

Selensky's also asking allies to lift restrictions so his country can use Western

weapons inside of Russia.
