I'm not pulling out of the driveway. We all know what that means. It's time for other drive-to-work,

coronavirus edition. Okay, so today, I've done a series of podcasts where I've gone through all

the various magic years and recapped each year. So I'm up to 2017. So today I'm going to talk

all about everything or most of the things, the major magic things, that happened 2017.

But there's a lot to get to, so let's get going.

Okay, first, on January 20th, Ether Revolt gets released.

It was led designed by Mark Gottlieb, led developed by Ben Hayes.

Its code name was Stock. I had 184 cards,

70 commons, 60 Uncomments, 42 rairs, and 12 mythic rairs. It introduced the improvised mechanic

where, kind of like convoke, you could tap artifacts to pay for these spells, and mechanic

called Revolt, that cared if a permit you control left the battlefield.

Either revolt was the small expansion to Kaladesh.

So it made use of all the stuff, or most of the things from Kaladesh.

But anyway, it was a small set, and it came out at the beginning of the year.

Quickly, very soon after, February 3rd of the 5th, in Dublin, Ireland, was Protore Ether

Revolt.

All the Protours this year used standard and booster draft, so I'm not going to mention that

for all of them, but all of them did.

At that event, Lucas Esper Berhold of Brazil defeats Marcio Carvalo of Portugal.

So at the time for those remember, the protours were tied to the releases of the event.

So each pro tour, like long ago, protos were named after the city they were held in.
