Summary

https://www.instagram.com/strengthcoachtherapy/ Teddy is a writer, speaker, educator, content creator, and sports medicine focused physical therapist. In addition to working with professional and elite level athletes, he takes pride in helping everyday people and recreational athletes perform at the top of their game as well. Teddy owns a unique performance oriented PT practice in Rockville, MD. His in-person work is complimented by his online business, inner circle and monthly workout program, Citizen Athletics. Teddy calls himself a strength coach therapist because he strongly believes nearly all injuries can be rehabilitated through an active and self empowering approach centered around exercise and education. Teddy's physical therapy practice is influenced by his strength and conditioning background, competitive powerlifting experience, and active lifestyle. When Teddy isn't working or working out, he can usually be found in the mountains, outside somewhere, or spending quality time with friends and family. Thank you listeners!! It's another Wednesday, which means it's another meathead hippie podcast.

0:04.8

I'm your host, Emily Schram, thank you for coming back and joining me.

0:08.9

I took last week off and I feel like I need to tell the story of my non-Finland, Finland trip of basically I miss the flight.

0:16.3

Don't fly frontier.

0:18.5

And it just is a long story, but like, you know when the universe really doesn't

0:22.6

want something to happen, it's not going to let it happen. And I fought for that Finland trip for

0:27.5

at least 36 hours. And then I finally had to let it go and realize I wasn't meant to go to Finland.

0:32.7

So unfortunately, I missed this four-sigmatic trip and I will have to go another time when it's maybe not 20 degrees negative outside. And it worked out. I got to see my sister, et cetera. I took a nice little week of catching up on life. There's never really a day off, but that's okay. I am grateful for my life. So I am so excited you're here. We have a great podcast

0:56.1

in store because I felt like recently we have been extremely, extremely hippie, which I am all

1:03.0

for. You guys know I'm all about the hippiness. But what I would like to kind of get back

1:08.0

into, especially as I'm changing my strength training and as I'm

1:12.6

getting stronger, is to work more on the meathead side. And I've had so many people talk to me

1:17.8

about hip issues and chronic pain and pain and healing and squats. And so there's a few things

1:24.4

that outside this podcast that I want to talk to you about before we get going with Dr. Teddy.

1:30.0

So the first thing is Saturday, I have one free workout or event every month at Platform Strength in Denver.

1:36.9

So if you are in Denver, then be sure on Saturday, you come for one of the best squat workshops you'll ever be a part of at 11 o'clock.

1:44.5

It's 11 to 1 with Coach George.

1:46.7

And he's just changed my squat.

1:49.1

And I'm still working on it.

1:50.4

And we'll talk about it in the podcast of the things I'm working on.

1:53.2

But if you're looking for some more education or some free things or just something to do on Saturday, it is F-R-A-W-E Waffle F-R-F-F-F-E. So come and check it out.

2:06.9

We would love to have you just show up or email me support at PlatformStrength.com.
