Summary

What if you could start over—right now? In this K+L solo, Lindsey + Krista explore the truth about identity shifts, the discomfort of being in-between versions of yourself, and why the most painful seasons are often the most transformative.  They dive into the illusion of “arrival” and why so many of us feel lost when life doesn’t follow a predictable timeline. You’ll hear powerful reflections on releasing old identities, navigating uncertainty, and how to trust yourself when nothing feels clear.  If you’ve been feeling stuck, disconnected, or like your life isn’t reflecting who you’re becoming… this episode will shift something in you. Because the truth is: you don’t need a milestone to reinvent your life—you just need the courage to begin. We also talk about: Why life transitions feel harder outside of “expected” milestones The grief + liberation that coexist during major life changes Letting go of old timelines, relationships, and versions of yourself Why feeling your emotions is essential for real transformation Navigating breakups, divorce, and calling your energy back Motherhood as a massive identity shift + spiritual initiation The difference between soul desire vs. comparison-driven restlessness Why acceptance is the key to true personal growth Healing stuck emotions + how they keep you from moving forward Reparenting yourself + breaking generational emotional patterns Resources: Instagram: @lindseysimcik Instagram: @itskrista Website: https://itskrista.com/ Order our book, Almost 30: A Definitive Guide To A Life You Love For The Next Decade and Beyond, here: https://bit.ly/Almost30Book.  Sponsors: Hero Bread | Hero Bread is offering 10% off your order. Hi, everybody. Welcome to the show.

It's your girls, Lindsay and Krista. Glad you're here. Nice to see you. Nice to see you. We're in 4K.

0:22.8

I literally told her, I was like, I was about to wear this very similar dress. Wouldn't it have

0:27.6

been hilarious that we were both Mortisha Adams going in? This is my outfit of the week. I've been

0:35.7

wearing this outfit every day. It's a great one. It's so good.

0:38.7

And everyone thinks it's from like a totally different brand.

0:41.4

Like someone last night was like, oh, is that Alexander Wang?

0:43.5

I was like, yes.

0:45.2

Yeah.

0:46.3

Another person's like, oh, is that like Target?

0:48.2

I'm like, yeah.

0:50.5

I don't know where it is.

0:51.5

But if you're on YouTube, I'm just wearing a black long dress.

1:11.6

And it's been my comfy uniform. I usually go through clothes that I wear for just as long as possible, and then I'll like never wear it again. Totally. Like I'll wear it every day for a month. Totally. But I've been wearing so much my zip fleeces. Oh, yeah. Do you have those? I have zip fleeces. I'm wearing every single day.

1:11.6

Like just like casual or fleeces are like sweaters. Yeah, sweaters and it just has the half sip. I have two of them, a green one and a black one. My clients, the poor things are like, is this who I'm paying? You're like, this is my uniform. Yeah, this is my mentor in the same outfit for three months. Sean said to me the other day, he's like, we were like going on a date day and he's like, do you want to go shopping? I was like, what are you saying? Yeah, I do. He's like, do you want to like look at clothes that like, I don't know, I feel like you. I was like, just say it. I'm like walking around

1:46.3

in my freaking sweatpants all the time. Totally. Because I'm just like, why am I going to spend

1:52.3

money while I'm pregnant? Like, I know. My body's going to change again. What's the point? But

1:58.6

he has a point in like feeling confident and like feeling better. I struggle with that so much. I think about that a lot because when I was in a relationship, I was realizing that because I was confronted with the fact that I wear, I just look like a muffin, ragged muffin all day. And being in a relationship, you know, you're with someone. So you're like, oh, like, is this good?

2:18.1

And I don't know how I feel about it. Because I do think, I think for me, there was something, there is something about when I'm never getting ready that says something about how little I prioritize myself, because I'll go work out, have my first call, I'll go work out till like 7.45, first call at 8. It's like I won't even shower until 4. And I know being a mom, it's even worse, but I'm like... No, it's so true, though. Yeah. It's like, no, I think it says more than just like the outfit itself. 100%. But I'm mostly in sweats, but then when I do kind of put on whether it's like a more elevated

2:53.6

sweatsuit or like something cuter, obviously he's like, whoa, what's happening here? But then I also

2:59.8

feel like more confident and I'm more motivated to do things. That's weird. I know. I know.
