1- Eat Mindfully

  • Pay attention to what and how much you're eating. Avoid distractions like watching TV or using your phone while eating. Chew your food slowly and savor each bite.

2- EAT BETTER FOOD!!!

  • Prioritize protein, eat enough fibre & drink lots of water

3- Understand the difference between tolerable and intolerable hunger

Tolerable Hunger: You're hungry, but still in control. You can focus, function normally, and wait until your next meal.

Intolerable Hunger: Hunger is consuming your thoughts. You're irritable, distracted, and likely to overeat when food becomes available.

4- Get rid of the liquid/empty/garbage calories

  • Fill up with more low calorie

5- Have regular consistent meals & be in a reasonable deficit

  • As Huberman says, “eat like an adult.”

  • Eating regular, balanced meals and snacks can help stabilize blood sugar levels and prevent extreme hunger, which can lead to overeating.

6- Manage Stress & Get Enough Sleep

  • Lack of sleep can disrupt hunger hormones, leading to increased appetite. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night.

If your drinks over 200 calories, it's more of a milkshake than it is a coffee. And I think we might be calling out some people there.

But it's very easy to have a 600 calorie Starbucks drink. Now, intolerable hunger is the point where it's consuming it. Like every single day, you want to, you know, just like yell at someone because you're so hungry, you're irritable, you're distracted. A lot of these things are scientifically made to actually make you want to eat more. Think things like chips, desserts, right? It's very hard to

put them down because they're designed to taste good to fire dopamine signals in your brain and to

0:43.3

make you want to just keep eating more and not putting them down. That is not a good sign. That is

something that we need to rework. What's going on everybody? Welcome to the fit, healthy, and most of all happy podcast.

And today we're going to be talking about something very dear to my heart.

1:06.1

It's something I've been thinking about a lot lately and many people have been asking about

1:09.9

hunger and how to see

1:11.3

results when you're feeling hungry and how to lose fat and all that great stuff. So I truly

1:17.0

believe this is a very important topic just because this to me is something that holds so

1:21.5

many people back. They experience a little bit of hunger and they think the world's going to end

1:25.3

or they get a little bit hungry and then they overeat. And I find so many people just don't see results because they don't have the right approach and all of these six tips they don't consider or incorporate. And I want to start with one of my personal favorites. The thing that I'm still working on and I'm trying to get better at is just eating mindfully. So there's been a lot of different studies showcasing that you can actually overeat just from being distracted. We're watching a show, you know, you're let's say scrolling Instagram, you're doing something, whatever it is, you're just not present. So a lot of times the way that our bodies operate is they just start to go on autopilot. So you just start to eat, eat, eat, and you're like, okay, I'm done. You know, and like you're just not aware of it, right? You can easily consume calories and be like, what even happened, right? That's just from not being present. Whereas if you were to just simply slow things down, set your utensils down between each bite, drink water between each bite, start to incorporate some of these habits to allow you to be more

2:18.9

present really think of like what's actually going on here like what am i eating you know just that

2:24.4

simple act of being mindful of being present of slowing things down is one of the easiest ways

2:29.8

to make sure that you're actually more satisfied and you're more full and this is something

2:33.4

that will actually start to trick your brain a lot of people people don't realize it, but you can absolutely trick your brain. Someone who's, let's say, driving in the car and they're rushing from, you know, one sport to another for their kid and they're just scarfing their food down. I promise you, you will want more food afterwards. Someone who's sitting down, they're intentional. They're taking a few extra seconds with

2:51.1

everything. They're like, wow, I'm more satisfied. You may even get to the point where you can't finish your meal. I promise you'll make such a big difference on your fitness journey. Next up is just to actually eat better food. I've said it before. When you eat garbage, you crave more garbage. When you get in the habit of eating out or having dessert every single night,

3:07.8

our body is so habitual with wanting the same thing. And it really gets in a habit of it. And just

3:12.8

the same, the more you start to eat better foods, healthier foods, high quality foods, cook more,
