When it comes to spiritual warfare, I'll be the first to admit there's a lot. I don't know.

I feel like an absolute kindergartner when it comes to these things. But I can read scripture

and recognize that there are realities at work that I might not

understand with my mind, but that doesn't mean they're not true. And one of those spiritual

realities is that there are strongholds in this world. There are strong towers set up by the enemy that is hard ground to gain.

And in my life, I've seen that in the stronghold of food fixation, where I felt like I just can't

overcome this obsession. And yet I've experienced in my life the power of Christ Jesus to demolish

those strongholds. And that is what I invite you to experience in prayer with me today.

been putting on the armor of God. And as we move toward wrapping up the season, I invite you to

join me in demolishing strongholds through the power of Christ Jesus. So take a deep breath and quiet your heart as we

become aware of God's loving presence around us and within us. Today's passage comes from

2 Corinthians chapter 10 verses 3 through 5.

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.

On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

So we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge

of God and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Let's begin by reciting God's goodness.

Lord God, your right hand is majestic in power.

Your right hand shatters the enemy.

In the greatness of your majesty, you are the one who will throw down those who oppose you, even the enemy of our souls.
