Hamas war continues this incident part of a pattern of attacks on US forces and

interest in the Middle East but now the Pentagon has responded.

US military sources tell us that the U.S. military has carried out airstrikes in eastern

Syria.

Wouldn't have been against Huti forces, but against Iranian-backed proxies who have been firing rockets and drones

onto US bases. 41 attacks on US troops and bases since October 17th. These

airstrikes they're just getting the bomb damage assessment. We don't

know how many locations but if based on the last pair of airstrikes on October 26 the U.S. would likely be targeting unmanned warehouses, storage facilities.

That's Fox is Jennifer Griffin at the Pentagon and as this war in Gaza

rage on the United States continues to work towards freeing the

hostages captured by Hamas. The White House says is a key priority to get all the hostages

released. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby was asked by Fox's Jackie Heinrich

if US troops will be sent in to get American hostages out. A ceasefire not only

gives them time to plan and execute but it legitimizes what they started on

October 7th and that's unacceptable to

President Biden it's certainly unacceptable understandably so to the

Israeli people a pause is as I said temporary localized specific purpose

Kirby also denied reports that President Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin

Netanyahu spoke about a temporary pause in this war.
