James Comey, who served under the first Trump administration,

indicted by a grand jury in Virginia on charges of obstruction of justice

and making false statements during testimony about the Trump-Russia investigation.

James Comey testified before Congress remotely from his home in Virginia,

because this was during the throes of COVID before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

And apparently there were parts of that testimony where federal prosecutors believe that he lied.

Today's indictment reflects this Department of Justice's commitment to holding those who

are abused positions of power accountable for misleading the American people, and she writes,

we will follow the facts in this case. He was targeting federal agents. That was what acting U.S.

Attorney Nancy Larson is saying about Joshua Yan, the gunman who opened fire at an ICE detention center in Dallas yesterday,

killing one detainee and wounding two others before turning the gun on himself.

Larson says investigators have gone through handwritten notes at the suspect's home.

He wrote that he intended to maximize lethality against ICE personnel

and to maximize property damage at the facility.
