Dozens of members of the House walked across the Capitol to meet with Senate Majority Leader John Thune after California Senator Alex Padilla was forcibly removed from a news conference being held by Homeland Security Secretary Christine Noam about immigration

operations in the state. Padilla describes what happened. I began to ask a question. I was almost

immediately forcibly removed from the room. I was forced to the ground and I was handcuffed.

Noam has a differing account.

I think his statement is absolutely ridiculous.

This man burst into a room, started advancing towards the podium,

interrupting an opening statement, elevating his voice, shouting questions. The FBI's Los Angeles officer, his Padilla, was not wearing his Senate security pin,

How could you say that you did not know who he was? We see the videotape. We see him saying

who he was. But how do you not recognize one of two senators in our state?

And Bass disputes the claim by the administration that the National Guard restored law

in order to the city Saturday. She says they didn't arrive until Sunday.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has deployed over 5,000 National Guard troops ahead of Saturday's

Abbott spoke with Foxis Wilcane. He said he had no problem with peaceful demonstrations,
