A sixth Memphis police officer has been fired for his role in the arrest and beating of Tidey Nichols.

An attendancy board suspended the licenses of two former Memphis EMTs for failing to render a to Nichols.

The state's emergency medical services board made the moves during an emergency meeting today.

Five other officers accused of beating Nichols have been fired and faced murder and other charges.
