Catastrophic ice and big snowfalls.

More than a dozen states are now buried under a foot or more of snow, and parts of Massachusetts

are bracing for up to two feet by tomorrow.

We're going to see a potential accumulation of one to three inches per hour.

That's a lot of snow. It makes for terrible visibility,

so please get off the road. And sheets of ice are brutal, bitter cold, turning roads into skating

rinks, pushing conditions from hazardous to life-threatening. New York's LaGuardia airport is now

closed until further notice, and the storm has knocked out power to more than one million customers.

And it is going to be cold on the backside of the system.

This could be a major concern.

Eight degrees is the temperature in Little Rock tomorrow.

Four degrees in Oklahoma City, Dallas, 12 degrees.

Truly cold air is settling in across the southern plains, the southeast.

And that will take at least several days until we see a real
