The Justice Department in Texas go head to head. I'm Lee Cilla Serra, Fox News. The DOJ has filed

a lawsuit against the state over a law just signed by Governor Greg Abbott.

What it does is it allows Texas law enforcement to arrest and jail.

Anybody caught crossing illegally into Texas and also potentially give judges the power

to deport people.

Well, the federal government, the DOJ,

is saying that is unconstitutional.

And in their lawsuit, they say Texas cannot run

its own immigration system.

They are now seeking to block that new law which was set to

take effect in the month of March.
