The first day back at an Iowa high school turns deadly. I'm Lisa Lissera Fox News. Two students are dead including the suspect at high school in a small town northwest of Des Moines.

Iowa DCI Assistant Director Mitch Mortvett says it was a student at Perry High School who opened

fire before classes Thursday morning.

There are six victims, one of them who is

deceased. That individual was a sixth grade student at Perry Middle School. The

other five are being treated at area hospitals. They include four other students

and Perry High School Principal Dan Marberger.

The gunman, a 17 year old senior who investigators say was armed with a shotgun and a handgun

and who left behind an improvised explosive device that was later rendered safe.

He also took his own life.

Iowa, Governor Kim Reynolds, crediting the quick action of first responders for saving lives.

U.S. intelligence says North Korea has provided ballistic missiles to Russia to use in its war against Ukraine.

These North Korean ballistic missiles are capable of ranges of approximately 900 kilometers.

It's about 550 miles. This is a significant and

concerning escalation in the DPRK support for Russia.
