Do you live this every year, spread the word, subscribe, and today we are talking about

the British Warcast Corporation, is the National Warcaster, of course.

Now, the reason we're having this discussion is because, so, the normal, you know, one of

the very successful roles of a press, which is overwhelmingly run, of course, by a very

small group of very, very wealthy oligarchs, who defend the status quo, of course, from

which they profit, is they're very effective at policing the BBC, so the general narrative,

which is spun in this country, is that the BBC is a den of dangerous lefties.

Now, you often get, I suppose, a defence of the BBC from some in, who call themselves

a political centre, which is based on the logical fallacy, which is, the BBC is criticised

from the left for being too right-wing and from the right for being too left-wing and

therefore it's got the balance right.

Now, that's a logical fallacy, you know, I mean, you know, you could say about the criminal

justice system, the right think it's too punitive, so not punitive enough, whilst the left

think it locks too many people up, therefore has it got the balance right, or has you

look at the empirical evidence to decide and look at the actual facts rather than say just

because something is criticised from two different angles?

I mean, we'll talk about that because we've got a great guest today, because I think there

is an argument that, as one senior BBC presenter wants, put it to me that the central gravity

of the BBC is kind of blare-right, in that it's on cultural issues, social issues, it's
