Summary

Today we're talking about HABITS!! Tell me the TRUTH! Do you like talking about habits??? Maybe 4th of 5th down on the list of questions people ask me is, "I see you've made all these good changes in your life and I want to do it too, I just don't know where to start." I love this question most of all, because the answer is simpler than you think. You change your life by changing your days and your change your days by changing your habits. This is a short and sweet one, but don't skip it.

I want you to ask yourself this one question about your habits.

0:16.1

It will help you know whether the habits that you have are serving you or not serving you.

0:21.3

You probably already know this, but this is one simple way to find out. Now habits, we think they're hard

0:27.3

to form. Good habits can be hard to form, but you form habits all the time. We just need to ask

Like, oh, I should have better habits. Just tell me if you immediately, like, have a sense of shame? Like, oh, I should have better habits.

1:12.3

Just tell me if you immediately have like a negative reaction to that. Now, because I love reading

1:21.4

books on habits and have about 15 of them, when I hear somebody else talk about habits,

1:27.4

I'm like, tell me more. What can I do?

1:29.5

Tell me how I can, you know, what can I learn? What tip can I learn? And so I love learning about how to

1:39.2

cultivate better habits, mostly because I've had a lot of bad habits, y'all. So I'm right there with you. But I also

1:47.4

feel like in my life, I just keep kind of tackling one, then the next one, and then the next one.

1:53.2

And if you just keep doing that and being patient with yourself, falling back a time or two or 12, and you just keep at it,

2:04.7

what you find is that a year from now, you have a lot of good habits.

2:08.8

And you're proud of yourself for the ones that you cultivate and that you sustain.

2:14.1

So over the years, I really have enjoyed working on this, even though it's something that I don't feel like I'm, you know, necessarily a master at.
