Thank you for supporting me. And today I want to talk about something that's really eye-opening in the context of words are spells.

You know, words, vocabulary, sentence structure, my passion. And it goes like this. I think a lot of us assume that if we want to improve our lives,

we have to have better thoughts, right? That makes sense. Inner thoughts, outer life. And so we search for better beliefs and better ways to reframe life and deeper, more expansive philosophies to abide by.

You know, we have these new mental models that we tune into.

Maybe it's podcasts or we journal or we try to think positive. We do all these things that are impactful

for sure. But there is a lever here that we don't really focus on. It isn't what we believe.

It really isn't even what we feel. It's how we construct sentences about our lives, about ourselves, about our feelings, but at the

smallest level possible.

The most powerful drivers of our emotional states are not just the words that we use to label

emotions, which is important.

Feeling anxious or grateful or betrayed or misunderstood,

those are important. But there are even smaller words at play here that hold those words together.

I'm talking about pronouns. I'm talking about prepositions. I'm talking about articles. These are

referred to as function words. And they're the foundation of language,

but we really don't notice them. And they're really important because if you zoom out,

these words, these function words, account for more than half of the words we use in everyday

speech. And, but we're not thinking about that. We are focusing on whether we should use the word
