I'm so happy you are here with me today.

Today I'm going to be diving into a topic that so many of us sort of bump up against

whether we are single, dating, married, somewhere in between.

It is the cost of love.

Because re-love, my friends, is beautiful, but it also requires something of us, you know?

It really does.

And the big question is, but why do it anyway?

Is the cost and the effort worth it?

And the answer, according to me, is, oh my God, yes.

And in fact, it is the whole mother effing point of this thing called life is love.

It really is.

And I'm not just talking about today on the pod. We're not just talking about romantic love.

Because yes, obviously there's that.

But it requires the same of us.

Facing shit, stretching, so many things it requires us to do, whether those are your

friendships, family relationships.

One thing I know for sure is that deep love means, like, leaves you open to deep pain, right? Because feeling deeply about people means that when

things happen to those people, good and bad, you're going to have some feelings about it.

It's like having children, right? We, it is like an involuntary type of massive love.

I can't, you can't even explain it, you know? And children will endlessly and always,

it seems, have the power to throw or devastate us, depending on what's happening in their lives.
