Summary

For four years, Brittany Driscoll spent her time learning everything she could from Alli Webb as the vice president of marketing at Drybar, taking the company from $30M to more than $100M. Now, she’s helping launch the brand’s newest concept — Squeeze, the DryBar for massages where treatments cost between $39 and $129, depending on the length of the session, which can run between 20 and 80 minutes.

Clearly, she’s passionate about self-care, but she’s also an advocate for overall physical wellbeing. In episode 76, she talks to me about the #hurdlemoment of both her and her husband going through cancer, and how that has influenced her perspective on prioritizing health. We talk about how she managed to make a major career transition while supporting her husband through his cancer battle, and the big lessons she learned along the way that have made her a better partner and executive. We also rap on how often you should get body work and the 27-minute workout she swears by.

Hey, hurdlers. What's going on? Emily Abadi here with episode 76 of hurdle, a podcast that talks to everyone from entrepreneurs to top CEOs and athletes about how they've gotten through tough times, hurdles of sorts, by leaning into wellness. Now, I just want to note, I feel like it's worth throwing out into the

0:23.3

universe. We are actually technically over a hundred episodes now, but upon having a combo with

0:29.7

my dad earlier in the week, he told me that I can only celebrate this milestone when we get to

0:34.3

the hundred numbered episode. I don't know how I feel about that, but I know

0:39.4

that it makes me really excited and really enthusiastic about where Hurtle is going. Today, I am

0:46.4

going to be chatting with Brittany Driscoll. She's the co-founder and CEO of Squeeze, a massage concept

0:53.8

from the founders of Dry Bar. Now, if you haven't heard of

0:56.9

squeeze yet, trust me, you will soon. Right now, they only have one brick and mortar location

1:02.9

out in California in Los Angeles, but they are coming big and coming out somewhere near you.

1:10.7

I can promise you that. Before we get to

1:13.1

Brittany's story, a quick shout up to my sponsor, Athletic Greens. With 12 servings of fruits

1:20.2

and vegetables, Athletic Greens gives me the boost I need to start every single day off right.

slash hurdle. Again, that's athletic greens.com slash hurdle to get yours today.

1:47.9

No code necessary. Today's episode is also brought to you by my friends at Woop. This week for the

1:55.8

first time I used the Woop strain coach when I was heading out for a run. And what I found super, super

2:02.6

interesting was all of the in-depth data from the pace for the run to the calories burned and the

2:09.1

average and max heart rates, the duration, my overall strain. And that can help me figure out

2:15.5

where I'm trying to go for the next time around.

2:17.7

I'm telling you, I'm obsessed with mine and I think that you could be too.
