Thank you. live a purposeful and fulfilling life. Let's go. All right. Welcome to episode 720. Hello, my friend. Welcome to a fresh new episode of new mindset who this. As always, thank you so much for listening. Thank you for supporting me and today. Something I've been thinking a lot about. It's got a lot of my energy when it comes to the topic of manifesting, of, you know, creating your dream life, of turning your wild, crazy ambitions into reality. and it's the piece of science of research

1:14.7

of neuroscience that basically says that your brain does not know the difference between a really

1:20.4

vivid in-depth visualization and an actual memory like your brain can't tell the difference between

1:27.4

you visualizing and you remembering, more or less.

1:30.7

And that's because imagining something intensely, it lights up your brain in almost the exact same way as living it does.

1:39.6

So I want to talk about how we can harness this in our lives.

1:42.9

I want to talk about how we can use this to train our brains to believe in a future that

1:47.7

hasn't happened yet and use that belief to create momentum in our lives.

1:52.0

So let's ground ourselves in the high-level observations of the neuroscience first.

1:57.4

Basically, there's one piece of research where scientists had participants either view faint images or visualize them from memory.

2:06.5

And the scientist discovered that most of the same brain machinery, especially in the frontal and perietal and early visual areas of the brain, they activated during both perception and imagery.

2:19.5

So visualizing a scene is basically reliving it from a neuroscience perspective.

2:25.3

They also showed that memory and imagery use overlapping circuits in the brain.

2:31.3

Basically, they tap imagining and, tap into the same brain

2:35.4

networks involved in seeing. And it's all the same stuff, right? Your sensory cortex lights up

2:41.7

when you picture something and when you remember something and when you live something. So this is

2:47.5

a really interesting concept here. And of course, this isn't a biohacking or neuroscience podcast, but think about that.

2:54.9

Think about the power of visualizing.
