| 0:00.0 | If you want to win your fantasy matchup this week, a lot of it's going to come down to the wide receivers you put in your lineup. |
| 0:05.0 | So in this video, we're breaking down the seven wide receivers that are kind of on the fringe on should you start them or not, but I consider them must starts for week 14. And let's start with the Tampa Bay Bucks wide receiver Chris Gobbin, who finally looked like his old self last week, like outside of just the production, right? He had three catches. |
| 0:19.9 | He led the team with 78 receiving yards, |
| 0:22.2 | 35 more than anybody else on the team. |
| 0:24.4 | Outside of just that, the box score itself looks pretty solid. 78 receiving yards, we can all agree is pretty solid. But on film, he looked good. Breaking tackles, getting open, which was a much different change than what we saw just a week prior in week 12 when he was returning from this injury, the re-aggravated fibula, and he was clearly limited in that game. He was fourth on the team in week 12, just 42% of the routes, wasn't putting up any production. On the film, it looked a little bit suspect, but just one week later, they increased his usage. 66% of the routes. He's operating next to Emeka, B Abuka as like the full-time wide receiver and two wide receiver sets with this buck's offense. And everything starts to look a lot better. We see his target chair climb to almost 20 percent in week 13. He's trending in the right direction and it's coming at the exact same time that a meca abuka, he's kind of plateauing out, right? His rookie year started off hot, remained pretty solid, got hurt, and since then, it's kind of trending down. And this does leave the door open for Chris Godwin, who has a very strong connection with Baker Mayfield, to maybe see some nice usage rest of season, including in week 14 right now. Now, I will point out that Mike Evans has had his 21-day practice window open, returning from his shoulder injury. |
| 1:46.2 | He is somebody who is practicing this week. There's a chance that he technically, as of this recording, on Wednesday afternoon, or it's Thursday afternoon. Technically, he could be playing. We don't have the Thursday or Friday practice reports. Odds are he doesn't suit up or he's extremely limited, and then he starts to get going towards the actual NFL playoff. So I think Goblin's going to have a nice role in week 14, right? |
| 2:34.6 | If you look at it right now, let's not forget this is a guy who was averaging nearly 20 fantasy points per game last year. I get it. He's another year older off of a devastating injury, but the reason why I bring that up is he still has the exact same quarterback throwing him the ball who loved targeting him last year out of the slot and is doing so again as recent as a week ago. Now this week it's going to be a nice matchup for the bucks. They're at home. They're pretty big favorites, eight and a half points against the Saints. A Saints secondary that honestly is like not great, right? They're 18th overall in terms of PFF coverage grades. So average at best, below average more like more than likely. So this is a situation where Chris goblin is going to have solid matchups. The Saints who are not a great secondary are probably going to put most of their resources on a Mecca-A-Buka. And Gobwin, if he continues this trajectory from week 12 to 13 of improving and looking good, I think that that's going to probably help him this week, have a nice performance of, let's call it, 11, 12 plus fantasy points in your lineup. |
| 2:51.8 | The way that I look at this right now is the matchup looks good. Everything pans out here, especially if Mike Evans doesn't suit up this week, which I'm not expecting him too. I would say that Chris Gobbin is firmly in must-start territory this week as a top 30 to 36 wide receiver and should be a flex option. All right. next love we have to talk about the Jets wide receiver that they traded for like a month ago around the trade deadline and adenai Mitchell the former colt the former texas wide receiver in college second round pick this is a guy who has a lot of talent like unbelievable talent he broke out in texas his final year there after transferring you can see right here this is a guy who runs a 4 340 time. That's 98th percentile speed according to PFF, top 2 percent. And we literally just saw this speed at his size, which is unbelievable in terms of his athletic build. We saw a payoff last week. Eight catches, 102 yards, touchdown. He ends up having a nice deep, like 40 to 50 yard touchdown in that game from Tyrod Taylor. And it wasn't just a one-week thing. Since he's joined this Jets team, he's been commanding targets from Justin Fields for a week on Thursday night in the last two weeks, Tyrod Taylor. In fact, as you can see right here in the road of his game splits tools, these are his three games on the left since he ended up joining the Jets. He's averaging about 11 fantasy points per game, more than flex-worthy, especially with there being four teams on by this week and week 14. And he's averaging a very impressive 8.3 targets per game, 51 receiving yards per game. This is a very similar role that we were seeing Garrett Wilson have. Believe it or not, Garrett Wilson was only averaging in like the mid-50s for receiving yards per game. He was getting 8 to 9 targets per game. At least for the last three weeks, I'm not calling Adonai Mitchell Garrett Wilson, but he's kind of performing in that role in this offense, albeit a different receiver. Adonai is more so like your stereotypical outside X receiver. Garrett Wilson moves around the formation, but Mitchell is earning targets and he's producing what them of late. You can check out this helpful tweet from Joe Orca on Twitter. |
| 4:15.1 | He says, Adonai Mitchell, since week 10, that's when he joined the Jets. |
| 4:17.8 | Among all wide receivers, he's seen a 30% target here, sixth overall in the NFL, 25 total targets is 10th overall in the NFL, and 56% of his team's air yards. |
| 4:26.8 | That is first overall in the NFL. |
| 4:28.7 | And according to Fantasy Pros, he has has an a plus schedule down the stretch i try to pick him up in a couple of leagues this week i was successful in one of those um i did not get him in the flock league i was outbid by some dollars unfortunately i do think that adenai mitchell down the stretch could be a top 24 wide receiver depending on the matchup in week because that's how he's been performing since joining the jets look at this 15.2 expected points per game is the wide receiver 14 over the past month of the season that is fantastic he's |
| 4:52.8 | getting a nice bump up now that it's gone from justin fields to tyrod taylor as his quarterback |
| 4:56.6 | tyrod taylor is throwing nearly 10 more times per game with more efficiency more yards per |
| 5:01.7 | game right now it's helping out all of these wide receivers on the Jets, specifically more recently, Adon I Mitchell, a little bit John Metchie here and there with some touchdowns recently. We're getting a phone call with some touchdowns recently. But the big thing here is that Garrett Wilson remains on IR. He'll probably return this year, but it's not any sure thing, right? Garrett Wilson, there's a pretty good chance that the Jets say, oh, you're able to return |
| 5:22.2 | in week 15, week 16, probably not worth you coming back for one week off of an injury and re-injuring something, right? There's a chance that happens. And this week, Adonai Mitchell, has a nice matchup. He's at home as an underdog. This is the perfect thing. We've been talking about it on this channel all year, and for years now since I've been doing this, I don't know, eight or nine years, |
| 5:39.1 | underdogs at home historically are in a great spot. They are in a friendly environment and they're going to have the crowd on their side. You usually see historically more offensive production, pass attempts, all these things. That's exactly what you're getting this week in a very good matchup against a Miami Dolphins defense that really all areas tackling run defense secondary has not been great this year. Nice matchup for Adonai Mitchell, somebody who definitely needs to be not only rostered in all 12 and 10 team serious leagues, but you can play this guy this week. In fact, these are my rankings for week 14. It's a little bit of a sample for you from the fantasy blueprint. You can check this out. Adonai Mitchell is my wide receiver 26, which means he's barely a wide receiver two, |
| 6:26.0 | which means in your three wide receiver leagues, your flex options, he's definitely going to be a piece that you want to have. I'm starting Adonai Mitchell this week over guys like Roma Dunzei, Troy Franklin, Quentin Sutton, Debo Samuel, and you can go down the list even more. |
| 6:27.4 | Now those were just the wide receiver rankings. |
| 6:28.5 | You can check out all my positions, |
| 6:30.3 | including a top 150 flex rankings that matches up different positions. Debo Samuel, and you can go down the list even more. Now those were just the wide receiver rankings. |
